Picture Window
Staring through the picture window, watching the black ominous clouds float by
the big white billowy ones stay in place, as if standing their ground
hints sun try peeking through them both, only to be blackened by the rolling clouds of death

scary yet somehow peaceful as I
watch them make their was across the sky

The wind gently picks up and the trees start to sway
almost as elegant as that of a ballet

Their limbs spreading and swaying in perfect rhythm
with the band leader as it may, the wind, the director
with its baton ushering every move

A slight hint of sun shines its warm rays
only slight that it might be through
a whole that managed to break  away from the grasp of the gloom

As the trees continue doing their pirouette
nothing else seems to move, as if nothing else existed

No birds chirping or trying to spread their wings
no animal on the ground scurrying

only the wind, the instructor and the tree, its orchestra
make a presence in this picturesque place
out side my window.
