Wind
Simple lies cannot create
what better Death,
than the Wind?

Simple people and simple ideals,
cutthroats and healers,
what better Death
than the Wind?

The Wind doth fly
on razor wings,
or silence sings
among the men.

The crying  is lost,
the Dead forgotten,
the Legends burried
lost in time.

One question
remains behind,

What better Death
Than the Wind?
Author's Notes:
elements mean alot to me. they are apart of my religion. i met a girl of my same religion and she left, leaving an empty hole. she believed as i do, that she has a gift for the wind. this poem i wrote after she left my life.

Fine poem.  I like very much how the question keeps coming back;  that's the stuff of good composition! --D

The wind is my beloved father... The sun light my loving mother... I am a restless soul..
The moon is my secret lover.... the winking stars my destiny....
Wonderful poem I can relate too...

Nice elemental poem. I'm a fire sign so that would be my way I suppose. It's cool to see this elemental poetry. It's what we all can relate to one out of four times and creates a good inspiration for poetry. Ann

Life goes on. As does we as people. Wind is the element of beauty and faith. I see into it as a spiritual force and it hold many things within. My ancestors believe that in the wind lies our future. Our eternity that lies within it, comes forth to claim us. We are within the wind when we pass. Our form rising above all and passing each below as our spirits drift by.. Death is a force that comes when it is our time. To tamper with such is forbidden and in all faith as I know it, it shows a sign of weakness. Do not get me wrong. Some faiths do still practice and believe in it. Myself, I do not. I do believe though that when we do go I shall be scattered in the wind and I shall live on till the end of all eternity, for me that is my peace..

I like your writes. They hold sadness, yet also searching. keep the faith, all does get better. No lie there.
