A thousand songs played in reverse,
a broken body being pulled from a hearse.

A tiny voice filled with dread,
a bathtub stained crimson red.

A bird swooping through the sky,
a muffled sob leads to a cry.

A body hanging from a rope,
another sign of fallen hope.

A sleepless night once more,
a story told many times before.
Author's Notes:
This is what happens when I can't sleep.
I'm not usually so morbid.
