The Reason That I Breathe

Fingers moving slowly down your face

Heart jumps
Knees weak

Lips touch

A kiss

As light as a hummingbird
Drinking nectar from a flower

I savour your taste

Eyes closed
Breath held

Could this be real?
Can I be this lucky?

I open my eyes to see you looking back

The smile on your face
The flush on your cheeks
Answers my questions

I lean forward and whisper

My love
You are the reason that I breathe
Author's Notes:
Title inspired by a line in a Pussycat song...I know, that's quite sad! LOL!

Really soft, sensual, with love and care in every line. I like the way you weaved back and forth between the internal impulses and the action. It's a swell result!

LOL @ the 'about'....sad? depends, are we talkin' the pussycat dolls or josie and the pussycats? (I know, pussycat doll's 'barely breathe')

Whatever your muse this came out rather nicely I think. It has a very warm intimate feeling to it.
