Gathering Moondust
I spent the night gathering moondust
Couldn't get the stars out of my eyes
Dreams tied up with silver ribbons
Still sitting there unopened
Just like all those other nights.
Warm milk and coconut creme cookies
Couldn't chase away my fears
Hope tied up with golden ribbons
Still sitting there unopened
Just like all those other years.
Silently I waited for an early morning visit
Greetings and a necklace of warm kisses
Promises tied up with pastel ribbons
Waiting to be opened
Just like all your other wishes.

I like the split into stanza's. I think the additional stanza (to me) endorses my original feelings to this write You have much talent.

I like the split into stanza's. It reads so much better. The additional stanza adds (to me) and endorses my original feelings. You are very talented.

You write so well, lady........

Very eloquent and meaningful...written with such apparent ease...
It feels like you just open your mouth and this exquisite eloquence just comes flowing forth.

A born poet~
