Dark Blue Evening

I entered a velvet evening

Like jumping into the dark blue sea

Plunging deep then slowly surfacing

As moonlight beckoned me

Human shadows turned into

Crashing waves on naked bodies

As each one touched me

I was overcome by a unique sensation

Shivering so slightly I felt their emotions

omg .....Loved this to bits!!!

Just a true classic in my book steve!

I am with Ali....these lines are splendid:

 entered a velvet evening

Like jumping into the dark blue sea

 Plunging deep then slowly surfacing

 As moonlight beckoned me

Sighing at these words,

~Cindy

The title drew me in and I was hooked from that first line. Beautiful poem, and feelings expressed so well in such a short space! Lovely :)
