Digital Hopelessness
It's hard to act upon this feeling
When it's there inside
Inside you're wishing and kneeling
Outside you can only wish you tried

It's hard to feel that this is right
Nothing else feels wrong
Move these fingers through the night
This electronic futility moves along

Tell me something
Wishing I'd have said something then
Tell me nothing
What could this encounter have been?

Long ago I couldn't have felt attracted
Someone shattered my heart
My hopes and cares had been retracted
I found myself crawling back to start

Now you're there and I'm here waiting
Wires speaking no lies
The fear I have of love is now abating
Knowing that my last love won't reprise

You have found me
Though we may be trapped in these wires
I have found you
Nothing could take away these desires...
