Scenes From a Collapse: We Have a Problem
I never thought I'd see you here
What all have you done?
Did they do the best they could?
Did they tell you it would be all right?
Have you the power to stand on your own
Or have they taken that too?
Clear the haze and cobwebs...
You're going to be cured of this all.

Got another one.

I find myself here one last time
Without a reason or a rhyme
Just a suitcase and another threat
Is this the thanks that I get?

I've done all within my power
I'm getting weaker by the hour
They've taken my power away
No one here has shit to say

Searching for that energy
I'm not blind but I can't see
Everything would be just fine
If I could follow that white line

I'd follow it right back home
And in this hell I would be thrown
Will this pattern ever stop?
Will I stand or will I drop?

Welcome back!
Have you regressed to the past?
Welcome back!
We will cure you at last
How've you been?
They told us you were in pain
How've you been?
You've made them all go insane
Come on down
This is where you will stay
Come on down
You're in bitter disarray
Never fear!
We'll have you back as good as new
Never fear!
You will thank us when we're through.

Twelve steps to freedom
The shortest walk I'll ever take
Twelve steps to a cure
The easiest choice I didn't make
Twelve steps to life
Sounds much better than this mess
Twelve steps to God
Where was he before I regressed?
Twelve steps to learn
I can't control what I started
Twelve steps to realize
I've left everyone broken-hearted
Twelve steps to know
There's time to change the road I'm on
Twelve steps to confusion
I've taken the steps but my mind is gone.

Take me back to see what I've done
To see the ones I've let down...

I want to record my damage
I want to set things straight
I want them to notice I'm making a change
I want them to feel my bitter pain
Let them know I will be that man again
Let them know I will make them proud
Let that notion echo within my head
Let me feel this is what I need
I just need you to open the door for me
I just need a path cleared ahead
I just need to listen and let you in
I just need to let the healing begin...

This is your voice of reason
I'm here to set things right.
These twelve steps are good and all
But let me clear your sight.

Was God with you when you fell?
When you straight up collapsed?
How about when you nearly died?
And when you went and relapsed?

Maybe he should have let you die
But would you have time to dwell?
Who's to say you'd go anywhere?
It would be the end of that as well.

Now let me be completely honest
Let me be the one to say
If you let God control your thoughts
You'll never live another day.

You'll believe every word they say
You'll lose all of your will.
You won't progress, you won't move
The chains of lies will hold you still.

If you're smart enough to be here now
Then you're smart enough to see
That the tangible in front of you
Will be the one that sets you free.

...Have I lost her love?
