'The other woman'

A soft touch felt
Gentle and real,
A promise of a kiss
Whispered...I kneel.

I plead; head bent
Tears silent as they fall,
Do not leave; I beg,
You do not have to go!

But alas.. It is all the same
As on many nights as this
This man I've given my all to
Has another just the same..

So what to do; I ask of he?
Yet I already know the answer...
Held breath; I hear those words
 The words from always there-after..

Strong; I am not!

Weak; I shall stay!

For tomorrow is another time,
For me another day!

And again I shall sit and wait paitently for him to come again
Then kiss; we shall, then off we go,
To another night of sin..

For not for him I have not a thing
Nothing to call my own,
Yet the sound of the ringing; from his very phone..
Then whispered words that are not for me; is all that stands in my way..

Oh please I beg; stay awhile!

Then watch as he walks away...

You do not have to go!

I have said repeatedly that one does not love to trust

but one needs trust to love  This poem proves that without trust love isn't real it's a sham at best and a heartbreaker at worse.

This poem shows exactly why a man or woman should always find that certain someone that will be true, and be true in return my friend.  Excellently written piece, but love is not to be toyed with.  Damon

Heartfelt one!
We take all we can and then some.  I think we all desire to be loved like No Other!

And when that falls short It is Excactly like the feelings you describe! YOU ARE AMAZING!

A very moving poem..
And I know some of us know this painful time in our lives...
I know the other woman changed my light to the darkness for years...

I hear your pain.  I am sure some women feel this way when emotionally trapped but they are stronger than they think.  A turn around will someday find her with regret for "writing the script" that trapped her there.  He only takes and as the "other woman" love will never come from him.  It isn't love when the trust piece is missing, exactly like a great big puzzle with the middle empty; it is never completed.  He's a liar and a cheat and now it is time:   Beat Feet...Run from Him.

Good expression in the poem; shows the conflict and confusion of the emotions.
