Celtic Lament

Celtic Lament

Celtic lament makes the air tangible,

In nature’s greenest settings,

Stirring emotions blocked,

In city offices where captured people think

The rush of being in a stadium,

Part of a morphing mass,

Allegiance with our fellow man,

Tribal rivals we understand, just a distraction

Soft linen in subdued light,

Deep reflected insight

Where worlds are seen,

In air, in seas blue green, but only thoughts

But the pipe or a tin whistle,

Playing in my mind in glen or forest,

Haunting me like a dog baying,

Beyond hearing stirs my soul,

When words mean nothing, poetry is all

Author's Notes:
I admire many poets on CP, too many to list and name here.. But recently one very strong Lady poet has been thinking introspectively which is a good thing in my view, she is always supportive of many here particularly some of the new younger talent we have.. So I thought I'd dedicate this poem to Ali Storm Wolf.. Ali you always have something to tell us in your works..

A very well written poem dedicated to a person that stirs emotions with her words and images.
