A ACT OF KINDNESS

ON THE STREET HE HOLDS A SIGN

“I’M HOMELESS

I’M IN NEED TO FEEL LOVED”

PEOPLE DRIVE BY WITHOUT A CARE IN THE WORLD

I WATCH IN FRONT OF ME, AS VEHICLES DRIVE ON BY

THE RED LIGHT ON GREEN

I WANTED TO STOP AND DO MY PART

AS I BEGUN TO STOP, CARS BEHIND ME

TOOTED THEIR HORNS

I THEN DROVE ON MY WAY TOO

WITH TEARS IN MY EYES, MY HEART BROKE INTO

I WAS TEMPTED TO TURN MY CAR AROUND

SO, I HEADED BACK INTO TOWN

TO THE SAME REDLIGHT, HOPPING TO FIND HIM THERE

BUT TO MY EYES HE WAS GONE

FOR DAYS I WONDERED IF HE WAS AN ANGEL

MY HEART FELT SUCH GRIEF FOR NOT STOPPING

I PRAYED AND PRAYED FOR THIS MAN I DID NOT KNOW

PRAYING THAT GOD HAD FILLED HIS HEART

WITH A PLACE TO LIVE AND LOTS OF UNCONDIONAL LOVE

SOMETHING I FELT OBLIGATED TO DO

BUT OF COURSE, I TOO DID NOT!

I ALLOWED THE WORLD TO STAND IN MY WAY

MY HEART WAS FILLED WITH SO MUCH QUILT

AFTER DROWING FOR DAYS WITHIN MY TEARS

I GOT A CALL TO COORDINATE A WEDDING

ON THE WAY, I RAN ACROSS A LADY

WHO WAS WANDERING DOWN A COUNTRY BACK ROAD

SHE SEEMED A BIT WEARY AND LOST

I STOPPED TO ASK HER IF SHE WAS OKAY

PULLING TOWARD MY CAR DOOR

SHE SAID “ CAN YOU GIVE ME A RIDE TO A RESTROOM”

WELL, I WAS RUNNING A BIT LATE

I NEEDED TO BE ON MY WAY

I TOLD HER SURE, THERE WAS A CHURCH AHEAD

SHE SAID “ SHE RATHER NOT GO THERE! “

I WAS LIKE OKAY THERES A STORE UP TOWN

THEN SHE LOOKED AT ME STRAIGHT IN MY EYES

AS SHE QUESTIONED MY THOUGHTS, BY MY SURPRISE

HER WORDS CAME OUT SO CLEARLY

SHE SAID ‘ SHELIA DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?’

STRANGELY SHE KNEW MY NAME

I ANSWERED QUICKLY, NO I DO NOT!

LOOKING PASSED THE WAY SHE WAS DRESSED

I KNEW IT COULD BE POSSIBLY ‘A ANGEL’

MY EARS WHERE OPENED TO HEAR HER WORDS

A LITTLE CONFUSED I WAS VERY OBSERVED

EAGER TO KNOW WHO SHE WAS

AS WE APPROACHED TO THE STORE

I OFFERED HER A PLACE TO STAY

I GAVE HER MY NUMBER

AS SHE GOT OUT OF THE CAR

I DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE HER SIDE

BUT SHE SAID GOODBYE AND LEFT AND WENT INSIDE

AS I STARTED TO PULL AWAY

I CALLED TO GET HER SOME HELP

WHEN THEY GOT THERE

SHE WAS NO WHERE TO BE FOUND

LOOKING AND SEARCHING EVERYWHERE

MY HEART WAS EAGER IN DISPAIR

A WEEK LATER, WHILE SHOPPING WITH MY DAUGHTER

MY CELL PHONE RUNG

‘HELLO’ I SAID

THEN TO MY SURPRISE IT WAS HER VOICE

SHE SAID ‘ SHELIA THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME

OUT THE OTHER DAY‘

‘NO PROBLEM' I SAID THEN ONCE AGAIN SHE ASKED ME

‘SHELIA DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?’

WITH TEARS IN MY EYES

I SAID ‘YES, YOU’RE MY GUARDIAN ANGEL’

SHE JUST LAUGHTED A THRUNDERING JOYOUS LAUGH

AS THE BEAT OF MY HEARTBEAT GOT LOUDER

MY BODY TREMBLING TO HER VOICE

I KNEW THIS WAS GOD’S DOINGS

SHE TOLD ME THAT GOD LOVED ME

AND THAT THERE WAS PLENTY OF WORK TO BE DONE

I MUST FOLLOW THROUGH WITH GOD’S PLAN

AT THAT MOMENT I WAS WEAK IN MY KNEES

THE VOICE OF MY ANGEL HAD CAPTURED MY PLEAS

GOD KNEW OF MY HEART, AND WHERE IT HAD BEEN

SENDING ONE OF HIS ANGEL’S WAS A MIRACLE INDEED

IT OPENED MY EYES TO FINALLY BELIEVE

THAT ANGELS ARE TRULY RARE BUT REAL

Wonderful piece there Angel! I found I couldn't stop reading. Each word, line, as I got closer to the end, made it so worth my while and with a smile I already knew what you were going to say. About the truth part.

I believe we all have our angels. Some we don't recognize, for they come in many forms. As friends we see every day, to others we speak with on the phone, down to someone we meet only once on the street. We must open our eyes to what is there. See the truth that is written, only then can we find peace. Find his will for us to do..

For you....

On a whispered wind I heard my name.

Softly the sound,

yet there all the same.

I searched and searched, yet could not find.

The voice of the angel who stood behind.

Then a soft wind passed across my cheek, I turned and looked and what did I see?

For my angel above, why she looked just like me?

With a smile she whispered...

he has chosen thee..

This angel I've saw...

This angel named me...

Hugs and much love,

Moonie #2 Mom
