The Black and White War
It ain't over by a long shot, folks
Not that easy or that fast
To erase decades of hate and resentment
I think we all know that
We just don't wanna be the first to admit it
Try so hard to ignore it
Submerge it
Beneath layers of lies and pretty wrapping
All too soon
You'll find its not that easy to do

Perfection
As if in this world
In our lifetime
Any of us will ever know any such thing
We may have made many advances throughout our history
We may now even have a black man in the highest office in the land
Still none of that means that there will be a ceasefire
On either side
Both too darn proud and stubborn to admit
One or both sides may just be wrong

Tears will be shed
Both good men and bad will fall
Does it mean we should quit fighting?
Give up on ever finding ourselves one day
Standing side by side as equals
Maybe
Maybe not
It is not for this author to say
It is up to you readers to decide
In the end how will you treat your fellow man?
Color first or will you look deeper?
Only you can say

So, are you proud of yourself now??? Yet another write to start some crap here at CP.

I have been reading comments on your writes of late and I notice you have that way of ticking people off. You seem to love what you are doing here at CP. One thing I have noticed though, I have yet to see a comment from you. You just sitting back there waiting to see who takes the bait huh? Waiting to see just how many people you tick off with your newest adventure here at CP?

Maybe you should take your anger out on a brick wall somewhere, try that! Or maybe you can write something positive for all the writers here at CP to read. Go ahead! I welcome a positive write from you. I will certainly give credit where credit is due. Save your taunting for whoever is making your life so miserable! Everyone has a write to the "freedom of speech" this I do know, but, geez, can't you be positive for us all just once? Try it, it is wonderful. I would love to read something positive from you. Why waste good talent on ticking people off?

I stand with Bruce on this issue. Every write seems written with the intent to rile the crowd. I don't see that you add anything of worth to this site. I know it is a big site and I haven't read every poem on it but I have yet to see you comment on anyone's work that I have read. This leads me to believe you never read poetry; perhaps don't even like poetry. It seems you write, post and sit back to see who you piss off. I am all for freedom of speech and that is why I have never hit the "report offensive poem" button....and  I never will. I realize that what one person sees as art another may not. I would like to exorcize my right and say, this is not poetry to me....not because of it's content but because of it's intent factored into what I stated above, you don't seem to participate in this community outside of your own posting. Childish ugliness is what I see in your work.

Critique: Detailed enough?
