And Time Passes

Two people in love

And time passes

I wonder who we are now

While a memory flashes

Carefully slipping into our lives

And watch the day begin

As we navigate life

Do we still hold it deep within

A feeling escapes from me

And goes out to the one I love

I want you to keep it close

This is all that I can be sure of

Did we move forward

And leave something behind

This fear is gripping me

With another day what I will find

Life changes us and all we can do is hold on loosely but not let go.

I love that line, Shady..As humans, we are always in flux. We're never quite the same person as we were yesterday...len

This is a good piece of insight into a long term relationship. I really like it particularly the line "A feeling escapes from me" I think we all know when that has happened to us.. I enjoyed this poem written in an easy free style, and it has a soft voice about it..

I think i understand .... I still think that tomorrow is an advanture and the moments of yesterday is gone and what is done is done you just have to make the best out of everything for time is not forever destined.
