We Had A Baby Last Year
So sorry
I was so angry
There's no excuse
For what I did
For the secret that I kept
Held back
Never told
Did't care
If you cared
I just wanted to hurt you
Same as you hurt me
So I lied
Schemed and denied
Even when you tried
To play nicer
To be my friend
Even when
We were no longer lovers
I still would't
Face you with the truth
And so I ran
Far, far away
As far as I could get
Never breathing
Not even a word
Despite the best intentions of well meaning friends
Telling me I should and had to
Tell you everything
Instead I just held on
On to the fury
Thoughts of my bitter revenge
The only thing that kept me warm
During those long, lonely nine months
Now I've returned
No choice left
You have to know
It was a little girl
You had a daugther
One I'm so very sorry
Neither of us will ever know
Because I was
Young, stupid and selfish
We lost our chance and so did she
At a much, much better fate then we got

Wow Ramona this is a very sad poem with tears running down through the words with regret and deep pain. I hope its just a poem but if not then no words l can say will take your pain away. All l can say is that forgiveness is universal and time really does heal even the hardest pain.

Cry not for you are not alone and those that love you will always do so.
