Did We Elect The Antichrist?

Note-This one came out a long, long talk with a friend who has always carried some pretty wild ideals around.

So popular
Too popular
A hero
Some would say
Our darkest enemy
Others would argue
Dare we question?
Dare we even ask?

Fear
Doubt
It runs wild
Icy cold
In our veins
Hidden away
For fear our fellow man would riccule us
We hide away behind a set of blind sheep following

Afraid
Too afraid
Lest the answer we seek
Does not go the way we so fevertly have prayed
In the darkness and safely of our own beds
Do any of us really dare?
Be brave and bold enough to step forward forward and ask?
Have we made the greatest mistake of our lives?

Have we elected The Antichrist?

God help us if so

Hee hee.... The level of ignorance in asking such a question is astounding. What we don't understand, we fear...What we fear, we hate..This half-Irish product of Chicago, the anti= Christ??? SHEESH! We've had anti-Christs popping up since right anti- Christ died...It's the Pop!...Now, It's John Kennedy!!.....George Bush came closer to being the ant-Christ than anyone els, but he's just fiery-eyed fanatic we were dumb enough to elect TWICE...Looking at the state of the country, I'd say he did the devil's work pretty darned good...IF Barrack Obama's name had been Steve JOhnson, I don't think this stupid question would have ever reared its ugly head..len

Funny, but I think every presidental election I've voted in comes down to the antichrist issue after the election.
Comment By: FreeBrooklin on November 11, 2008 10:02:34 AM Report
Yes, I truly believe that we elected the wrong president, and those that elected him, did it for the wrong reasons. All for history, nevermind who he truly is and is about! This country is in a mess...people living on welfare that don't need it, draining this country, taking money out of our pockets to feed and house theirselves and their children....laying on their backs popping out children every year, knowing they aren't going to take care of their own, just leaving it up to everyone else to do it...just too lazy to get their asses out there and work like the rest of us!! This is not a racial comment, for I have dear african american friends that have went to college, work hard to have what they have and deserve it too! But I along with most of America am freaking tired of this crap and being taken advantage of. I say give them 6 months of government housing and such, but no longer....6 months is long enough to get their act together. If they don't like it join the other people out there living under the bridges! Enough is enough. As for Obama...I DID not vote for him and will never respect him. I love my country but he is not of this country. The hell with him making history...many have made history and deserved it, earned it!! What the heck has he done to earn this position....not a damned thing! Just voted in simply because of skin color...it has been said and proven. I feel for this country and hope that soon enough he will screw up and get impeached or something. He is no good for any of us. I hope that those that elected him, get what they deserve! I have to agree with Jennifer...she said it like it is.  I am from the south, and the thugs rein here too. You did stir up a stink here with this write, and you have that right, to post what you want, I respect that....but I think you will find that alot are pissed that he is over this country now and we all know it is down hill from here!

Obama~This is what happens now~I did the math

A. Keep some of the Bush tax cuts, but raise taxes on folks making 200,000 or 250,000 if married. Their top rate would increase from 35 percent to 39.6 percent.

B. Impose an additional 2 percent social securities tax (for employers), 4 percent (if self-employed) on married people making 250,000 a year. This raises the top rate for their income to about 43.6 percent.

C. Combine that with increased Medicare taxrate of 1.45 (for employeers), 2.9 percent (self employed), therefore increasing the toprate to about 46.5 percent. Mccain's top rate would be 35 percent plus 2.9 percent raising his plan's top rate to 37.9 percent. ::gasp!::

D. Obama would cut taxes on income under 200,000. Though he wouldn't grant them on ordinary income but grant tax credits and then phase them out as people's income increased. Funny thing is is that Yes your income tax would be lower under Obama but your marginal tax would be higher. For every dollar more you make, the more tax credit you lose. This just doesnt happen on rich people, it also happens on moderately well off folk as well (ie the middle class isn't those the people Obama promised to help....curious). Adding an additional percentage upon the statutory percentage.......well that just gives you more incentive to NOT make more money.

E. Obama knows that maginal taxes from this tax increase will not becoming from the rich! I.E Tax avoidance techniques (which Obama employs as well.....shocking!). For example, switching from tax able bonds to tax free municiple bonds, becoming a one family earner, contributing more to their 401 (k). Why do you think Warren buffet paid only 19 percent one year?

F. Oh so the democrats can fix some of that by removing the pre-tax contribution. All your contrubutions will be POST-TAX! Pretty nifty eh? (guess what folk? this applies to you too not just the rich, oops!) This effectively removes all the benifites and incentives about a 401k plan.

G. Oh and he's not done there. How about mandatory contributions to a government fund at the rate of 5 percent of your paycheck, put into government bonds at a 3 percent rate? Oh, the 600 dollar government match, sounds like a good idea right (considering that 600 dollars is your money in the first place? why not let you keep it and allow you to do what you want with it......hmm).

Revelations 13:2-10:"And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.  And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.  And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.  If any man have an ear, let him hear. He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints."

The description of the first beast - especially the ten horns and seven heads - has led many to conclude that the first beast will be a political leader. He will achieve worldwide control through his plan for peace. This ruler will be in this position for the entire seven year tribulation period.

Now you tell me!....we are doomed under this man!

You know what Romona. I disagrree. with everyone who disagrees with you. . I believe we did elect the wrong president. I am not by any means racist. But let me tell you. In the white areas, the lines were not "crazy" to go and vote. whether it was McCain or Obama. But Let me tell you last Tuesday if you drove in a "african american" area...(is that PC?) the lines were 2 blocks long. I think people voted not for what they know but to be with the popular vote. If anyone out there wants to say that the people who voted for Obama, voted of sound mind and body, I beg to differ. I feel, that Obama was elected because, everyone joined the bandwagon, and wanted to be a part of history. Actually Mr senator Obama Is senteor Of the state I am from. Illinois! Illinois aside from harboring the Murder capitol,(CHICAGO)  Illiniois pubulic health, and its finaces are in the shitter. so Honestly Romona I never even read this write of yours. I read the title and I read the comments below. what does it really matter? he is our president. La la la. Maybe Obama wiill see to it that no one gets denyed welfare. Maybe he will mandate more security cameras everywhere... It isnt working in chicago. Instead of the gangs doing drive bys, and shoot up innocent people, outside  on camera. Home invasions are now popular. AND WHOLE FAMILIES are dying so these thugs can avoid being on camera;...

So we are  in need of change. we want our troops out of this war?? so we voted for the popular guy. Now Obama never intended to stop the war. We have to wait til. those people can govern themselves? Well If I were president Id take all the freakin gang members from chicago Il and all over USA (they already have guns) send them to Iraq. FREE FOR ALL...

so we wont know how good or bad our mr president will  be... but you certainly have a right to stir up emotions as a writer, that is what writing is all about.

I've read enough of your work to know you like to stir things up. I don't usually comment because your views seem so outrageous to me. That being said, I am against censorship. So, I respect your right to babble on ad nauseum about whatever hot topic of the day you feel you must write about. However, your profile asks for detailed critique and I would say 1) you should use spell check and 2) being that this is a POETRY site, it would be nice to see you try something different every now and then. Perhaps a poem that shows the reader your wit or a piece of your soul.

As Christ is dead and gone there can be no anti-Christ! However there are plenty of anti-Romana-Thompsons out there!

Best wishes

Fear often causes insanity. I see you plant seeds of fear every chance you get.

"blind sheep following" describes those who subscribe to fear or desperately try instill fear in others.

Antichrist? This is as crazy as it gets!!! How totally disrespectful of the president elect. Have you even noticed what the last President was up to?? Why do you think times are so desperate now??

"Our darkest enemy"...what carefully concealed racism. BOOOOOO!!!!!
