Time evolves perfectly as it should,

itís that ultimate part of nature

that must not be altered nor pressured,

if it's to be enjoyed and understood.

Undulating time-waves the universe,

 starry symbols spattered in verses,

people of different global nation,

gesture mysteries in sounds unspoken.

Countless memories revived in tales,

only sixty million light years away,

expressing thoughts about creation,

in heavenly symbols of compassion.

Astronomers exploring galaxies,

timeless black holes measured precisely,

searching for knowing without sensing,

how close within time we are living.

They speak as if it were yesterday,

just as you appeared on that sunny day.

I saw you when we were young and old,

saw us both at exactly the same time.

Love the sight of you walking towards me,

after fifty years of so short a lifetime.

Time is on our side, waits for no one,

easy living with our retirement  income.

Author's Notes:
an old school friend came to visit me... she was just as beautiful as then.... more so.

Really, really super, Raymond. Captures life in the near and far and detail with texture and grain. Celebrates what we value so much, affection and time, putting so much into perspective. Each read is better than the last. Thanks so much for sharing this!

This is great Raymond, I wait for the day when I can tell the powers that be where I work to stick it where the sun don't shine! My time will come soon enough.   Henry

I did not need the 'About this' to see the significanse.
Great poetry never needs explaining.
I felt the depth in it and was sorounded by wonder.

You captured the 'inexpressible' well
as only the very best poets can do
(and I never bullshit)

Very, very nice!!!

I like the way you spun your words around time, the universe, all of us living in a place that is floating, yet many more stars out there...

A good job..

A fine write indeed, as always!
