We are who we are
we are who we are
the sky could turn grey then pink
we still still be who we are
the earth could end and we somehow live
we will still be who we are
maybe a little differnt on who we survive
but still who we are
we may lose a loved one
or possibly a home
but in the end we are still who we are
no matter what happens
in the end we are who we are

Excellent use of repetition!!! Some of the most powerful poems in history use this technique. Although, many poets that attempt this seem to fail to capture the TRUE essence of the poem. I believe you did that in this one. One of my favs for sure. :)

All too true. We will always be who we are regardless of what happens to us, because it is these things that make us who we are. I agree with Cathy, enjoyable read, keep it up.
