Beyond The Silence Of Her Eyes
Beyond the silence of her eyes,
Lies a story many have known.
A tale of anguish, rage and fear,
A story many face alone.

But never does she speak of it,
For the tale would break your heart.
She can't bear to even breathe of it,
But inside it tears her apart.

The pages of her book are mangled,
Beyond the repair of tape or glue.
Merely hanging on by a single thread,
The number of pages left are few.

She's running out of words to live,
Her will has been ripped out.
The pain she has faced throughout the years,
Has caused a constant drought.

Happiness has been rationed for her,
Very few things ever make her smile.
For when she tries to be happy outside,
She only sees the world as hostile.

A place she wishes she never was,
In her heart she holds only death near.
Beyond the silence of her broken eyes,
She's experienced a life of only fear.

But soon that will all be over,
She will put an end to her life long 'show.'
And take with her a story of heart,
One we will never know.
