A faded rose ~ Gee & Henry M. ~
I sit alone in the dark
hoping that you'll soon be here,
I suffer while crying
knowing that you'll no longer be near
What was the force that drove us apart
Just what made you want me no more
Tracks of tears staining my heart
Alone in the dark, waiting for your knock on my door

Why didn't you tell me you want to go
At least give me a reason  I will understand
I stayed true to you, now you just ignore
You disappear, so where do I stand?

All my hopes and dreams fade away
I believe now I am just dreaming
I'll be alone again just like everyday
I wish you hear my heart  screaming

All I needed was some honesty
Don't hand me a hat full of lies
Now I live with the heartbreak you've left me
You couldn't keep from wearing a disguise
Alone in the dark, my heart clouded in doubt
What happened to the love I thought I knew
You were the one I couldn't live without
Now I have found that it just wasn't true

Now, on I will go and never look back
Though my heart is empty and I feel exposed
I'll continue walking on a lonely track
As I am a just like a faded rose

Author's Notes:
Gee, your words in this really put an ache into the heart, I hope that my words have helped to ease that ache. Thanks once again for the opportunity to write with you.

Tearful and sad...and it made my heart ache,  indeed! Both of you put a lot into  this, and it really  reached deep.

Very well done, and very heart rending!

Hugs to ya  both...
