Eyes wide open

When I saw the moonlight in your eyes
I was not a poet anymor
 wrote the word
Placed them in your eyes
Left them twinkling
In starry summer skies
The Moonís a buffoon
When love placed itís heart like a lune.
 tripped on daisies
My love held no shelter
But life is a bitter helter skelter.
