Rambling Love

Your words place the biggest smile on my face

But your absence places the biggest tears on my pillow case

Itís strange Iíve never meet you but I miss you all the same

Somehow you always know what to say

And your words just make my day

Iíve always shrunk away to protect myself from harm

But when I fall now I know Iíll find your arms

Now I know these poems make me sound young and naÔve

But Iíll never say something as cheesy as you complete me

But I can honestly say Iím in love with you completely

How can I ever express just what you mean to me?

My dreams fill of the moment we finally meet.

I never used to believe it was better to have loved and lost

But love is different when you are star crossed

Even if things donít work out how we want them to

I want you to know Iíll always treasure the friend I found in you

You came simply as you are, no expectations, no demands,

Just simply positive and reached out your hand

It seems so positively simple but now my heart you command

I wish I was different, maybe going to school with you

But I worry if I was different would this feeling be too?

What a cruel irony to be stuck so in love and in so much anguish too

But if it was meant to be, it will be

I have no doubt between you and me

And I will bring in none of my former negativity

Just sappy poems trying to express this feeling honestly

As I walk this razor thin line between love and pain

I know these words on this page shall fade

But I also know the feelings that write them will forever be the same

Now realistically people argue everything does change

Which I true I must admit and say

But no matter where our paths may lay

I know mine is better now that you came my way

This feeling is amazing when oneís souls shifts

And in sync someone elseís soul just clicks

Iíll never really ever begin to express this feeling I admit

But this feeling is way to strong for me to ever quit

The line between love and pain is in fact very thin. everyone who comes across your path in life changes you in some way but there is only a few people that change the actual path you are going on. that's what matters. beautiful piece rachel. have you read "the road not yet taken" by robert frost? the last stanza reminded me of it. i love "soul shifts" and "soul clicks" that was awesome. great write!

Great write , lost child,

Expressively well written, meaningful rhymes. Happy for you.  Beauty is all around if you are wide-eyed enough to see.
