A Leaf Caught My Eye

A Leaf Caught My Eye

A leaf caught my eye when I was three.

I saw it falling gracefully from the tree.

I reached down and put it in my hand.

What if I hadn't picked it up? Was it all in a plan?

That day I ended up staying outside.

Otherwise I would have gone inside.

Like ripples upon a pond, life unfolded after that.

All of this brought me here for this wonderful chat.

So I'm glad that when I was only three,

That I was standing by that tree.

I totally believe in the power of fate.

And that our time of friendship could not wait.

I accept these wonderful gifts and proceed.

Fate always knows when we're in need.

Was it the tree that made the leaf fall?

Or maybe it was part of fate's plan after all?

Author's Notes:
Fate to me, is an amazing thing!
I cannot see what is around the next corner, only where I have been.
And so I do my best to just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Best to just go with the flow. Things are sometimes out of our control. Things happen for a reason or so I believe

Great write

Fate is an amazing thing though at times I wonder if we have a small part in our own fate.
