Withered leaves fall ~ Cindy Bendel & Henry M.~
Withered leaves fall, aimlessly to the ground
The wind blows cold, such a lonely sound
I reach out for your hand, but it's not there
Where can I find a love who cares?

The wind blows cold, such a lonely sound
I question where this path has wound
Fall, now fractured from the window I sit
The fire now gone that you once lit

I reach out for your hand, but it's not there
And search for the smile I used to wear
The days now funnel through an hourglass
My spirit fading, like the seasons pass

Where can I find a love who cares?
That won't look back at me, with cold blank stares
Yet, here I sit awaiting love's sweet sound
Withered leaves fall, aimlessly to the ground

Author's Notes:
I have once again been tutored in another form of writing, this time a Lillibonelle. Thank you Cindy for showing me the way on this!

I'm always amazed at the two of you and how seamless your co-writes are. It really is as if you are of one mind. Kudos to you both.

Henry you are a delight to write with dear friend!

It is I, that is honored to write with you and allowing me the pleasure.

Great work for starting off, that is the hardest part as it sets the tone and direction.

Hugs

~Cindy
