I have a friend until forever ends
A place to rest my mind
I share the things unforgiving
When life becomes so blind
The oracle I turn to
Is a light I always find
The way to you is certain
On a pathway of unkind
My life is like a wishing well
Stumble fall and fell
And when I tumble into hell
There's no one else
I care to tell.
In my humble state of mental undress
She holds my hand in her warm caress
She is my friend.

I already look like a red nose reindeer today because of the damn flu, now I am crying too! LOL  This is the biggest gift ever John. My friends are such an important part of my life, I will cry with them, I will do anything for my friends, and I will protect and fight for them till the end. Thank you for being such a great friend to me too.  I know we when through our "rough" patches but it always seem to end up getting together and realizing we need each other, we are actually the greatest friends. Thank you for that.
I will hold this close to my heart.  Thank you my dear dear friend.

Well bless your heart John, this was just so full of your heart. She is indeed a caring, sweet person, and you have a wonderful freind in her. I am happy to see that people are becomming less afraid to tell the ones who are dear to them, that they are. It is a human emotion, to love someone, in any capacity. And to give that gift back, is rare, wonderful, and just lovely.
This was beautiful and sweet.

"This communicating of a man's self to his friend works two contrary effects, for it redoubleth joys, and cutteth griefs in half." ~Francis Bacon~

"A place to rest my mind"......ooooooh, I love this John. You know this poem is so timely, yesterday I had a fabulous day with two of my best friends...and I'm so grateful for their love and support that I could shout it to the world. A true friend is your greatest treasure. This poem shows how vulnerable we are as humans but it also shows the wisdom of a man willing to embrace the help and direction of someone who cares very much about him. Sometimes a poem come along at just the right floods the reader's heart with such raw truth they are in awe. This is that very poem. Stirring poem =))
