We Suffocate
Life may suffocate us sometimes

We need a peaceful place a floral garden
with natures sweet perfume  Or a summer meadow of sweet grasses
with wild flowers all in bloom Perhaps a quiet beach at twilight
with soft hues sunset plays
on the surging waves

Even a stroll down a country road
with Autumn leaves all a flame   Amid this astonishing beauty
there is room for your restless soul
to expand Where you can breath again
rest your mind of daily thoughts
that scramble for some
relaxing happiness
Sitting outside with a summer breeze evening
just listen and behold captivating moments
and drink it all in like a fine wine
Our tired heart begins to quiet
 peace begins to come into
our restless soul

The soothing spirit of nature embrace
releases our captive prisoner heart
and tired mind

Mind, feelings and soul are all ingredients of a being which are precious in the formation so when these three essentialities in a being are tired then obviously a being tends to be non- existent. Lovely poem which is truly unique.

A nice way of reminding us to sometimes just stop and take a deep breath, and realize that there is some potential to what may, at times, seem like a dying world.

Well, you have done it with this one dear lady.

You tell it like it is and how I feel.

Wonderful poem.

Yes my friend we all need a place to escape all the hustle and bustle of this high speed life...  I personally love the evening at and after sunset...  Seems the world slows down and cools down just a bit...  Sounds of humans fade leaving only the sounds of song birds crickets and frogs to entertain us...  BRAVO Scarlett!!!

This is so very true and good advice to take, far to often we let life take us over instead of it being the other way around, wonderfully written Scarlett~Graham.
