One Kiss

Those lips that placed a promise on my cheek

Now layered with his second hand love

I touch my cheek with my fingertips to bring you back

I don't care if anyone sees me do it

The way those soft lips formed into the proudest smile

I can still read your secrets from one glance

But the thing that I can't get over

Were the lies you stained upon my heart with one kiss

The way your ocean eyes still stare into my heart

Whenever you walk past me each lonely day

They offer a guilt led smile that makes me sick

Leave me alone I don't want to bleed anymore

Those lips that I only once kissed

On the day that poured with heavenly rain

A sign maybe? A warning?

That one kiss would promise such pain

Author's Notes:
I was in assembly today and Vicky was in front of me and I srtared at her..she didn't know though. I only hope I have captured a fraction of the pain that was rippping at my insides today.

Very well written.  A lot going on here....your poems seem so cathartic but I guess most poems are.
