Crying Desert

Rugged colossal cliffs were stretching
into pastel hues with evening
native rapture paint brush

Sullen crys was testing the west torch
of heat itís blazing massive head wind
 with burning breath rush

Silence reined this desert dry world
native plants who thrived with just
a few stingy drops
of saving rain

In shallow moist creek beds cotton woods
leaves rattled within dust devil breeze
with quick speed it had
suddenly gained

Gathering cathedral clouds invade
the sunís  face performing clouded shadows
across vast desert floor

Evening promises cool taste of falling rain
to a crying desert begging for
just a little bit more

We don't need much here in the desert.  Your images paint an unforgiving picture of what desert living is really all about.
