I remember my feet and the luscious grass
From above, the sun fueled my smile
His laughter and mine echoed together
Making our trip to the park worthwhile
I remember his face with little lines
But the graying streaks showed age in his hair
My little hand held safely in his
How I'd give anything to once again be there
We lay down beside one another
Cushioned by the rolling slope of the hill
My innocent eyes staring past the branches
Where angel choir and paradise is real
"Daddy" I whispered,
"When will you join the angels up there?"
Watching his eyes water I squeezed his hand
"...soon, but I'll always be near"
I got back up to my feet, skipping
And beneath the heavens I twirled
He watched me with happiness
"Daddy, you're the best dad in the world"
