I guess back in the day I would have been called a tree hugger. But in the day and age I'm just an angry person that is devastated with what is being done to our planet .Damaged beyond healing. I'm happy to read a good write of what is happenng. And hopefully others will take heed in the wisdom of your words

Mother nature is sure on the decline...and I agree fully, it is man's selfish nature which has reaped the results.
Intriguing final lines John...how do you mean that? :o)
Well penned, my friend!

Don't know what scarier: the future you portray or a conversation with Len.

Some would say that humans are a form of virus - forcing the enviroment around us to adapt to our needs instead of the other way around. The fate of man may end up similar to that of a virus... its just a question of what will be the 'vaccine' used against us.

This is really good John and so true, it brings to mind a poem i wrote called Our Lost War, its about all we're doing to this earth and what mother nature will one day do to us.
Its sad how all we seem to do today is destroy things or use everything to our advantage despite it causing the planet great stress as you well said in verse 2.
nice work my friend

There will be an avalanche of cascading thoughts as she turns out the light. No more.

Mother Nature gets her revenge every day...she uses our greed
and sees that it backfires on us. Just one example; continuing shortage
of clean, fresh air.
Good on ya for this write sir.

"Mother Nature is the host here
We’re just the boil on her back"
That's GOOD, bro, and so true..I think Mother Nature is sending out hints, already..The bird flue and such. The earth will abide. Human's are a nano-second in her long history. We better watch out, huh? We're starting to be a bother....len
