A gift from God that lets you look back

Unconditional love and acceptance adults lack

A hundred questions that start with why

Not wanting your help after the 20th try

Mock disappointment that ends with a sigh

To many reasons that make them cry

An ever present smile and the greatest hugs

A serious attraction or aversion to bugs

Spilling anything that will stain your rugs

Explaining away mischief with some shrugs

The children are raised so your job is done

May God bless you with at least one

Ahhh, you describe the nature of grandchildren so well in this poem. *smiles* We seem to grow more patient as we age. I think that is because we have fewer stressors...all that seemed to irritate us majorly with our own kids seems amusing to us now. Maybe it is because we can give them back after a few hours...they are awesome little doubt.

This poem is so cute Steve.

I can't wait for grandchildren! It's something I have driven my kids crazy with, lol...nagging at them to hurry up and marry and produce babies for me to spoil rotten...but they are determined to wait (thank God)...I'll just have to wait a bit longer ;o)

Hugs and loved this!

I want them too now. If I now quit smoking, all credit to this poem.

Ah grandchildren are such a delight. I still don't have but know that I will enjoy them tremendously.
