Pictures within this frame

Moms in the kitchen
I stole a bottle of wine
Dads at work
selling his time
Cut up and bruised
Nothing left inside
Nowhere to go
Nowhere to hide
I didn't learn much
Just to be a slave
I learned to run
I learned how to escape
Beer and Whiskey
Never ending need
Crystal meth Cocaine LSD
Everyone I know
People said I'm blessed
But I could not let them see
My unhappiness
I look a these pictures
Within this frame
I realize now
Nothing can stay the same
Yesterdays a memory
Whether good or bad
We live and learn
From times we've had
I think I am better now
I've pushed the sad thoughts away
That is the story of my life
I found no use to complain

We do so much to rid ourselves of pain, but ultimately we land in the same place in the end.

Isnt it ironic, how we go only so far, and by the time we got it, were always a day late and a dollar short, yet we have enough under us, to help others, due to the unneccessary suffering?? I believe we need all the inspiring we can get, so thank God for you....If you can help only 1, you have been blessed, and so have they...Great write, God Bless , DeAnna

As I have said before and I will say it again,

you are such an inspiring writer. This sounds

like the past of so many. Life is what we make

of it, and we just have to dig deeper within our-

selves and find that strength to overcome the bad.

Thanks for sharing this one. I am sure many can relate.

Hugs,

~Penny~

Fletch,
We all make mistakes in life and we learn from them... The past is gone the future remains..
 Awesome heartfelt poem.

Events of the past have a way of clouding our hearts and minds for many years...but we can always overcome the darker side of it if we try, and you've given us a prime example of how wonderful a person can turn out, regardless of the past.

Many hugs to you and yours...

Glata
