Lunar Eclipse

Lunar Eclipse

This is for those who observe the phases of the moon.

An event is happening that won't happen any time soon.

It is the last total lunar eclipse until Dec. 20, 2010.

I hope I'm still alive when it comes round then.

Tonight the Moon will be overshadowed by the Earth.

Wives Tale - Keep to your bed if you're due to give birth.

Lie or sit still during the entire lunar effect.

Least your child is born with a nasty defect.

Please don't worry because this is not true.

Cherish the moment of your child's debut.

Fortunately for us the Moon will not totally disappear.

It' will take on a reddish hue so you know it is here.

Author's Notes:
After I saw the reddish Moon I was informed about the Lunar Eclipse.
Then I just had to look it up and write a poem about the event.
And all in time before the event has concluded.
May we all remain helplessly and hopelessly in love with the Moon!

Great write Ham, I tried staying up to watch it but fell asleep, not that it mattered, apparently it was hiding behind the clouds over my part of England. Great stuff fella.

Ham,
A very beautiful well written poem about our enchanting lunar moon... It was cloudy here so we could not see this breathtaking event.

Ham:  It was perfect viewing here -- and the reddish Moon was magnificent.  Isn't Mother Nature marvelous?   Good write, Hammy.
