Churches burned to the ground

Houses burning all around.

Faces showing the pains of growing up--

With no family to lean on.

Violence captured on TV screen--

Things that never should have been seen.

Mothers raped little girls by their side.

Little boys made to watch mouths open wide.

Author's Notes:
This is a bit of an unusual style for me, but as they say sometimes a person needs to step out of the box.  I just felt the need to write this one.  I suspect this is what it is like for people living in some of those third world countries.

Alas, the whole world is filled with corruption right now...grown toxic, poisoned.

Very poignant accenting of this sad state we're in now!

Dear Sir!

It is really hard to point out the contemporary social problems in such a refined way as you have performed by creating such a precise but comprehsive piece of literature!

Good work, Damon. Yes, it is a departure for you, but it's good. A very clear, up close and personal look at the situation. Well done. ML
