The wind is angry today
Snow blinding hitting sharply across the face.
Hands turning numb not able to find a warm place
The wind is howling, pushing you around.
Feet are tripping as you try to not fall to the ground

There is such a whirlwind with no escape.
The winds strong anger covers like a drape.
To sit by a warm and cosy fire
sipping hot chocolate is surely my desire.

What fool braves temperatures like this
with wind chill factors and winds that hiss.
Only fools like me with no brain in the head
go outside instead of staying warm in bed.

Author's Notes:
It is -30 degrees celsius and wind chill factors making it -50. The wind is so strong that you can hardly walk and here I am had somewhere to go. What was I thinking? LOL

Oh God this is real!

You've given me the chills lady.  I suppose if my life or someone's I loved

depended on it...I would brave that kind of weather.

BTW, what WERE you thinking? lol

I'll take some of that hot chocolate (now).

Wow Helen, reading this write I feel pretty lucky here in New York! We are just getting rain so far this winter, lots and lots of rain, I don't even want to think about what it would have been like had it been snow!!!    Henry

It is freezing here in the uk raining very strong winds and i always seem to have to go outside in it to Helen. How lovely it is to get back snuggled up on the sofa with a fluffy blanket and heating bliss

Wonderful poem
