Insomnia
So now that darkness has set the scene
the enemy has entered the room.
He's always lurking in the dark
sunshine is not the way of his gloom.

He waits patiently for the dark
that is his best defense.
Stirring up all kinds of noise
filling the head with nonsense.

flickering shadows of light
as he dances with his shadow.
He's holding a party tonight
while I escape covering my head with a pillow.

Darkness and I don't like to meet
while everyone else is asleep.
Here sits insomnia at my feet
watching and waiting to leap.

My brain never turns off. I should be asleep now. I know just how you feel.

That's what you find here at my  house, too!  I think  it's an epidemic....sighs...and a world-wide one, at that!

I've been sleeping heavily of late, but without rest...and I don't know which is worse...lol!

And now.........off to my charming job...cleaning motel rooms where people think  it's OK to be nasty pigs and leave the sty behind....sighs....

Hugggggs!

Helen I wrote the book lol. Not funny when you cant got off and you have to be up early in the morning. I still have to take half a sleeper before bed to get me off in the land of nod. I have tried meditation and  has worked a few times so going to try to ditch the tabs for the natural method with a lavender bath just before bed. No tea and coffe hun after 6 at night.

Excellent write helen

In a move from the early thirties, a guy complained to W.C. Fields about his insomnia. Fields said he knew the cure...get plenty of sleep. If only it were that easy, huh?...len

A topic we can all related to, insomnia.   This is a condition that completes a day of stress and anxiety.   The imagery is great.
