Leanne.

Ah, Dearest Don

Where have you gone? Winter flakes are spilling downward
From Heaven's mouth, drawn.
Do you wake to piercing thunder, mind asunder
To a soundless dawn?
Or is this time in dreaming spent on weaving a map
To capture this complex vaughn?

To a dreamer dreaming on

No, you are not alone
The maidens carry wings of wonder to compliment your own
When you genuflect to gentle hands
Made pacts that set in stone
To carry with and carry by the sweet and hollow bones

Feathers frayed by funerals are naught to make you fade
By weathered stones and minerals you will not be swayed
If by chain or by vein somehow you obtain
A maiden's galdr do not falter to sing your serenade

This was amazing! I wish I had that kind of creative and coherent thinking and still be able to paint beautiful pictures with my words... inspiring to say the least. Keep up the writing, because what you have posted is not enough! =)

I just read your "Leanne". Pretty difficult not to be satisfied with this one. I know I am. Well-balanced, rhythmic, deep. Congrats for this beautiful poem.

Goes into my favourites. And favourite poets. How apt, I'm listening to a song which has the lyrics "Beautiful girl, wont you be my inspiration". Only in this case, you already are.
It might seem a tad pompous, but you remind me of me. Not so much in the content as in the form of the poem. Needless to say I liked this. I do have a question, why do you name your poems in this particular way? Is it addressed to a person by the name you know? Or just poetic abstractions? :-)
