Dedicated to all who are wheelchair bound
This day is a day when those who are dear,
All come together for a time of great cheer.
It is a time for each of us to try and reflect back,
On how greatly we are blessed, not in how much we lack.
Itís a time to come together a time for us to share.
And show those we love that we really do care.
The food is all prepared, the turkey and the dressing.
Remember to be thankful when we are saying the blessing.
But not everyone is happy at this time of year.
Some are alone with no one to bring cheer.
There is a woman who will spend this time alone.
All tucked away in her quiet little home.
Her only companion is her wheelchair and her wonderful mind.
She escapes her boundaries with the only refuge that she can find.
She is so loving and kind and she loves with the purest of hearts.
This is where she finds freedom and where her Thanksgiving starts.
Remember as we are gathered round the dining room table,
That my friend looks back in time, to a Bethlehem stable.
She knows that God loves her and made her for a reason.
That is why she is thankful this holiday season.
She remembers Gods love and what all He has done.
And how much he loved the world by giving His only Son.
Tomorrow is my friendís birthday; I wish her smiles and happiness.
I send this to her as a warm embrace and a sweet caress.
She is a wonderful friend whom I have not yet met.
To be counted as her loved one, I will never regret.
So, Happy Birthday sweetheart and Happy Thanksgiving too.
I want you to know that I love and will be thinking of you.
