Echoes

I waited for the rain

And the ushering thunder.

I recall the last moments

Of her leaving, her lavinda

and retracting footfalls.

There are no mirrors here

only the echoes of my wandering.

This is excellent work Abby!! I really love this poem, it has told just enough and left just enough mystery. The summation is fabulous, you branch from the ordinary and mundane and strike with imagination and style.

Be sure to enter this for a Featured Poem Award hun, it is a WINNER!

Wonderful poetry Abby~

That final stanza...line...will have me turning circles and doing tricks for it's meaning :o)

Intriguing!
