Thunder And Lightning

Thunder And Lightning

I remember the moment I saw her from across the room,

When she approached, I was turned on by her perfume.

Outside a storm was raging with thunder and lightning.

But with her by my side it wasn't a bit frightening.

We went outside and watched the lightning strike.

As we talked we found we were very much alike.

Afraid to ask her, my heart pounded within my chest.

She knew what was on my mind for she had guessed.

This sweet woman made love to me all night.

And we lay in each others arms until morning light.

In the morning I awoke and opened up my eyes.

To find her looking at me was a wonderful surprise.

We talked of our lives and shared some red wine.

Her life was complicated and so was mine.

But that night two souls ignited each others fire.

That night they fulfilled each others burning desire.
