The Beach and the Waves

The vibrant waves run and roar

Throb the lingerie and tender contours

Of the wide-armed beach

And lick her smooth silky sheets.

Husks and peels abruptly discarded

  Flesh settles and seals.

The connubial pounding, presently

    Fetches draining and attrition.

She yet lies stripped and bare

   Assimilating the inebriated thrusts

Nursing a broken frame and mind

Heavy with love’s lies and lashes

"Assimilating the inebriated thrusts "  a very telling line...

What sadness and despair felt here.  Love's lies, so evident in the push and swell.

Excellent. ~Pamela
