Through one unvarying fragmentís bend

 Of the heartís pulsating call, directness;

Pardon dearest, my nerve or weakness

 Through which I cling and rend.

Must I articulate the golden moments wasted,
   Who infinitely irked or infamously defaulted?

Whatever the articulation, confession, I am guilty
      I defaulted, not twice, not thrice, but fifty.

I admire the integrity of this piece that captures the essence of realism like nothing that I have ever read.
