Watermelon slices
Food Lion is charging about four bucks for three small watermelon slices.
It really ticks me off when I see these high prices.
An entire watermelon only costs six bucks.
Charging four dollars for three slices really sucks.
It makes more sense to buy a whole watermelon for only two bucks more.
If Food Lion would lower their prices, they'd have much better stores.

Stores target the single shoppers, who can't afford to waste a whole watermelon @ $6.00, but still want the fruit.

Convenience has its price.  Someone had to cut the melon, wrap it up and refrigerate it until it is bought.  So, maybe it saves the customer in the long run.  Families have it easier when a whole melon is eaten and everyone is happy!

People go for the "convenience" ---  I agree with you though!!!
