Tears of a soldier
The tears of a soldier
Are dry as the dirt
Never showing pain
Never showing hurt
Just try and remember
They are someones mothers son
It does not really matter
How many wars are won
The dire facts are certain
War brings awful pain
After all is said and done
Only tears remain

The tears of a soldier
Never caused a war.....

Such depth and truth and those last two lines say it all.

So sad, but so true....A soldier's tears fall for an eternity.

Hugs and tears of my own...

No they didn't i agree with you Fletch. Soldiers voices are never heard neither.

My Aunty is a pilot in the United States Navy, she loves her job but she gets her orders and thats the end of it. The things she has seen she tells me about, so many atrocitys, natural disasters, accidental deaths. Its appalling this world.

This is so true, the tears of a soldier never showing pain.
I love the line

They are someones mothers son, they are also someone's fathers son.  As we both know all to well.
Love..............Your Wife and Brat Tracy
