Sunday in the garden

Sunday in the garden

Blackbirds sing a happy song

The cardinals in the maple

 Join in to sing along

The bumble bees are busy

Where the roses like to climb

As the blue jays eat the berries

 Growing on the vine

The cotton tail is hopping home

But sheíll be back again

And the squirrels are all playing

Try and catch me if you can

I leave peanuts for the chipmunks

And other creatures great and small

And everyday I leave them

They always eat them all

Is it a symphony or a circus?

It seems so magical to me

Sunday in the garden

Godís grace for all to see!

LOVELY Richard...this is fantastic! :o)

What meter, what rhyme...perfect penning here~

And such joyous rompings in the garden...enough to make one wanna hug a tree!

Enjoyed to bits, my friend.

i think it is a symphony with the birds and bees doing their thing  and then it is a circus when the squirrels show up!! great reading, john
