The Door of Evermore~9

The Door of Evermore

Iíll tell you about things that most wonít say

Events surrounding our lives nearly everyday

Some stories of the ugly and some of the beauty

I write about existence and feel like itís my duty

Iím trying to help a few view true reality

Between the future and the past of humanity

Iím writing for you and Iím writing for them

So donít you call me sir you can call me Jim

Iím no one special at all just an average guy

But I can make you question and wonder why

For our time is much shorter than we all think

While life and death have a unique special link

There are many things hidden in front of our eyes

There are eyes viewing from above the skies

So escape into the shadows of a moment before

We entered this world from the door of Evermore

Your on to something with your average guy peotry.  I believe that is why so many readers can connect to your lines and often leave with a lump in their throats.

This is a interesting write, thought provoking theme. I think death is just a transformation like a caterpillar to a butterfly, physical to spirit. And that time is not linaer but, everything happens in Gods enternal now. And this universe is just one of many, anyway great stuff, your work James. keep on trucking! peace!

As poets, this is our job. Life and death complete the circle and we should write about it. As always James, thought provoking and also an incredible piece, Joe

Well, Jim..You have said a mouthful here. Einstien said that the past, present and future are all happening at once. The passage of time is a convinient illusion. The truth is out there. I'm afraid our puny brains are not up to the task of knowing it, though. A very thoughtful write..len

So much is hidden because we refuse to look and see it. The phrase "hidden in plain sight" has never been more  true than it is today. Look at the events at Virginia Tech just this week...This kid  was a danger to these other people long before he ever pulled that trigger the first time. Right there in plain sight was evidence for those  so-called "professionals" to have seen, had they but listened to concerned students...

James, this is a very good write and hopefully it will inspire us all to look a little deeper.....

Hugs and love from your NC sis...
