Strength Beyond Midnight

holds all secrets
as the clouds gather
in the nape of questions.
there will be no echo
in the return of moon.
i and my traveling stick
have joined
the great dark migration
of creatures that must turn
into the mystery of fullness
as the sun hunts
like a half remembered tail
the other side of the world
polishes in light a familiarity of shapes .
On this side
the stars fly
like thrush
in trails beyond the mountains
and the wrapping coal burnt paper of skies
cascades on the tips
of wide stretching trees.
my words hummed
are not luminous
but each one lights
my way back to the liquid reflection
of home
swallowed on dark ground..
a candle gathers strength beyond midnight.

Welcome back my friend..
Your writes are always a pleasure to read, very descriptive and mysterious.
Always feel as if I am in another realm, as I read.
Thank you, enjoyed so very much..
