Day by day,
I want you.
Take my heart.
Each day,
I want to,
Make a fresh start.
Every day,
It's Valentine's day,
Inside my heart.

I wasn't here for Valentine's day, but if you had forwarded this to me.....I would have seen the intensity in the short lines and felt like a Queen......Good words chosen, dear man.....

Margaret....the old bag lady, sorting through OLD valentines.....

Well heck...that's because you have the heart of a Texan...everything is BIG in Texas, right? *smiles* There has to be a whole lot of love in there for it to be Valentines Day in your heart every day. Heck, look at this, my word count in this comment is more than your entire poem and I haven't even said a fraction of what your message imparts. This is beautiful Rich...there are no wasted words here, this gives me a sugar high, it is so sticky sweet. Very well done!

Aw, Rich, this is just too lovely.  This should be printed on a Hallmark card.  What a way to melt a heart.  ML

Sweet. Valentines day would always stay in our hearts if we remembered each day to make a fresh start.

They should print these stanzas on those little heart candys this year.  I mean (snorts) they been saying "Be mine" and "I love you" for YEARS now, right?  Perhapse it's time for sugar to take a slightly different approach at dating...
