Spinal Tap
his hand at the small of her back was possession
cradling the soft space that curved toward the fluid
deep within the bones arranged
with the precision of perfect design
one atop another

holding court to the synapse of her pain
and her pleasure floating
in the primordial mix of that
which separated her from
the freer species unhindered
by the restraint of calcium and marrow

she felt his warm touch against her mind
in the miracle that sent waves of
electrical impulses upward
always upward as she moved
in the direction of his arm

her legs moved as she found her steps
and in that space of thought
she yearned for one tragic moment
to be floating in the sea
transformed and free of the structure
that moved her cagey soul in a straight line

This is such a painful procedure.... but amazingly you turned it into a pleasant read, nicely done.

I agree with Alison on this one Ann...I think it is its unusual nature which I find most appealing about it.

I'll have to read this a few times :o)
