When In Texas
There are wild rodeos , big belt buckles,
silver spurs
and
leather chaps

We wear faded jeans,
cowboy boots
and
western hats

B Q ribs, thick steaks
and
spicy seasoned red beans

In Texas
these are our
everyday living  dreams

Yellow and native roses
when  love blooms
in the summer and spring

Every day you hear
our country music
 playing guitars and fiddles
with country people who sing
Our big suburbans, fast blazers
and fancy pick up trucks

Back country driving leaving behind
blowing dust
and deep road ruts

Our cattle and horses are our  way of life
we live in a way so peaceful without strife

Texan's  are loud and proud

We love our friends and to dance
drink our cold beer
always with our cheering family crowd

There are  wild bulls, blood and broken bones
We break wild horses and sing
by the campfire with love songs

We have long winter nights
 beside a crackling warm fire

Lovers in love with  passion and  desire

We also have summer  days  with all our friends
and family who come to visit and stay

What more could we want on those
hot summer days with sweet Ice tea
 home made ice cream
and  juicy watermelon days
