Transcending all life, wrapped in glory
The Christ Child form of God's love and grace
Gives in a dimension, beyond this place

Foretold before birth, with life after death
Born unto man, in a manger at rest
Praised at his birth to be later betrayed
He shepherds us all, especially the strayed

What makes him so great? What is he about?
He lives even today and makes my heart shout
A gift from our Father, who died for our sin
Teaching the word, to us, the fishers of men

Truly a gift, with nothing to earn
Nothing to pay, just praise in discern
